Music Post - 'Orange' comes to end the drought for good telugu songs

Harris Jayaraj is back with a bang. Orange album is very good both musically and lyrically. Generally most of hits are dubbed Tamil songs and always the lyrics are made to fit with the music and hence the authentic feel is lost. But this time with the songs directly in Telugu, they are much better. Listen the songs here. My favorite music streaming site has enabled embedding again. So it is time for celebration.

English translation of this song: 
Context: Bilahari Ganapati sastri (BGS) is a famous singer, who created the Bilahari raga and which was added to his name in his honor.He has a student who loves his daughter. He doesn't want to accept his the marriage,  he has to accept as his daughter went too far with him. In the marriage of his daughter, when his son-in-law says that -after the marriage he shouldn't sing this song again in public with Bilahari raaga to insult him. Then Chiranjeevi, Bilahari sastri's son enters the stage and sings this song defending his father.

చిన్న చిన్న విషయాలైన ఎంత ఆనందాన్ని కలిగిస్తాయి ... జీవితానికి పాఠాలు కూడా నేర్పిస్తాయి .. శీతాకాలం లో మోడైపోయిన  చెట్లు మల్లి ఎలా చిగురించాయో... జీవితంలో కూడా కష్టాల తరువాత సుఖాలు ఉంటాయి అని చెప్పకనే చెపుతున్నాయి..

Music Post - Maro Charitra

The audio of the new movie is not released yet. But I think the music is poised to be a chartbuster.

This is Produced by Dil Raju as the remake to the yesteryears classic film Maro Charithra starring Kamal Hassan starring Varun Sandesh of happy days and Kotha Bangaru lokam fame. The music is scored by Mickey J Meyer who incidentally scored music for the above films of Varun Sandesh and gave roaring hits.

The reason for me feeling so hyped is this trailer of Maro Charitra with superb music. Listen to it.

Creativity of Telangana 'Branding' Team

What is the job of a branding team?

It is basically to always create ways and means to make the brand be in people's mind. In that way, the Telangana movement has achieved a grand success. May be KCR is afraid that it will fizzle away like the previous times and hence making sure it is never out of people's consciousness.

Apart from the usual ways like speeches, songs and drama, they are using novel means which you might or not approve and appear outright foolish. Some of the creative things they have done are

1. It first started with stopping the screening of Arya-2 and Saleem, movies of stars who were against Telangana

2. Next it went to interrupting the shootings and torching down sets for the movies of Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar etc.

3. Next here is where the creativity oozes - They made 'Rana' the hero of Leader to say 'Jai Telangana' to allow him to shoot his movie.

4. Now could you ever imagine this ?? - They torched the cds of Leader movie because they contained the lyrics - 'Maa Telugu Talliki Mallepu danda' and they wanted ' Maa Telangana Talli ki Mallepu danda'

5. They removed the number plates of AP and started using TG on them.

Whosover is incharge of 'branding' operations of Telangana movement is very smart and has a great future.

As for us people, it is nothing short of attacking all the industries in AP. If it continues this way God knows how much time it is before the companies shift base from Hyderabad and all our creativity is left jobless.!!!

Avakai Biryani Audio Review

Just listened to songs of Avakai Biryani, a new film produced by Shekar Kammula, directed by Anish Kurvilla. Music is by Manikanth Kadri, a name I have not heard before.. It stars newcomers named Kamal Kamaraju and Bindu Madhavi..

The first song is Adigadigo is nice melodius and calm number and good to listen to.. It is sung by Karthick.. will grow on you as you listen to it more times...

Next one is fast number called Chindesi Chinna Pedda... Has mass beats.. Has lot of excitement... I think it is a good dance number in the film.. It is sung by Ranjith, Rajesh and Tippu

Next song is Maamidi Kommaku, a fast melody sung by the music director and Saindhavi, is quite good but I think the picturization has to add to the song.

Fourth song is Nannu choopagala Addam sung by Karthick and Swetha is a melodius duet and is good and may be become the top song..

Next song is Veerudena sung by Shreya Goshal and Karthick is again a melodius song.. Lyrics are good in this song..

I couldnt hear the other song Nadiche Edu adugulu sung by Naresh Iyer but think it is good..

On the whole there are good melodius songs and might grow on us the more we hear.. The songs Nannu choopagala Addam and Adigadigo are the top songs of the Album for me..

Yesterday I came across these lyrics in a song. I have heard this song many times but never noticed these lyrics... which mean

Desamuduru...Puri Jagannath...

He has done it again.. Normal story... villians kills heroines parents, occupy their house and take their money and try to marry the heroine to their son...A faithful servant helps her escape...And chance takes her to Kulu Manali and she joins a community of sanyasins and stays there....

While helping heroine escape, the servant is helped by the hero, who beats up the goons badly...They want to kill him... Hero a MAA Tv reporter is pressed by his parents to escape to somewhere.. He goes to Himalayas.. meets heroine.. makes her fall in love...and gets ready to take her back to Hyderabad.. In the meantime the villians discover the whereabouts of heroine and capture her and brings her back to hyderabad.. Hero meets the servant, knows about the whole pitiable story and rescues her...Thats the plot...A very ordinary plot...

But the taking is excellent...First half is excellent with the beautiful Himalayan surroundings, glamourous heroine...Second half is equally exciting with the fights and chases....

The comedy track of Ali is very hilarious.. His troubles start after a kidnap and how he ends up in the Himalayas is very interesting...Three songs are good... The mass song should have been more catchy.. Puri Jagannath has once again proved that he can make even a very normal story look very interesting with his taking.. A very good movie once again after Pokiri...


The sideline is that the hugely successful Pokiri was not able to generate interest in the Tamil audience.. I expected that because it was hit because of the punch dialogues and Puri's taking as the story was quite ordinary one...
