He mentions three reasons for it, namely not understanding the words, going too fast and missing some concepts and just reading the theory without application. Now I understand that i've been guilty of these three things which affected my retention of things learned. If we and use this, surely it would be of great help.
Ofcourse, the best way to get something is to teach it.
You said, "the best way to get something is to teach it." That comes after you got experience and certainty with what you are learning, otherwise you would teach in confusion and spread it. Teaching is good addition to my post about the basics of learning. Thank you for mentioning it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do accept that teaching in a confused manner deoesnt help but generally what I have observed is that when we actually set out to teach something, we will try to express is more clearly and logically which will add more clarity to us and it will stay in our minds.
